About Us – Ausangate Treks

Our Team: Franklin Navarro

Ausangate Treks is a 100% local and direct tour operator, fully specialized in treks and expeditions across the majestic Ausangate mountain range, one of the most breathtaking and sacred destinations in the Peruvian Andes.

Deeply rooted in the land, culture, and ancestral traditions of this region, we’re not just a company — we’re locals who live and breathe these mountains every day. Our trails are part of our history, our stories, and our identity.

Our mission is to provide authentic, safe, and transformative travel experiences for every adventurer who joins us. Whether you’re seeking the thrill of high-altitude hiking, the beauty of glacial lakes and vibrant valleys, or a deep spiritual connection with the Andean Apus (sacred mountain spirits), we’re here to guide you with heart and care.

With a passionate team of local guides, cooks, and horsemen — all from the surrounding communities — we ensure that your journey is not only unforgettable, but also meaningful and respectful to the land and its people. At Ausangate Treks, you arrive as a traveler, but leave as part of the family.

Driven by his desire to share the beauty and power of his homeland, he created Ausangate Treks, a company built on dedication, respect, and love for the Andes.
